Upload Joomla Files into a Web Server
Download Joomla Files
You can download Joomla files from the official website of Joomla. Click here to download Joomla 1.5.22 Full Package or click here to check whether the newer version is available.
Extract the Zip File
Right click on the Joomla_1.5.22-Stable-Full_Package.zip file and extract it into a folder. The folder that you extracted Joomla files is called root folder. An example of a root folder is shown below. (Click on the image for bigger picture)
Upload Joomla Files into a Web Server & Create a Database
Before proceeding the next tutorial (Installing Joomla) you must have done all the following below:
- Get web server
- Upload Joomla root folder content into Web server root folder
- Create a Database
