Upload SMF Files into a Web Server
Download SMF Files
You can download SMF files from the official website of SMF. Click here to download SMF 1.1.13 Full Package or click here to check whether the newer version is available.
Extract the Zip File
Right click on the smf_1-1-13_install.zip file and extract it into a folder. The folder that you extracted smf files is called root folder. An example of a root folder is shown below. (Click on the image for bigger picture)
Upload SMF Files into a Web Server & Create a Database
Before proceeding the next tutorial (Installing SMF) you must have done all the following below:
- Get web server
- Upload SMF root folder content into Web server root folder
- Create a Database
